Man of GOD
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to my parents, Charles H. Johnson, (age 19) and Bessie Ann Pope (age 16.) They had serious problems in their marraige, and she left him when I was age 9 beginning my 4th grade. I thank God that I was not killed via abortion as so many babies are treated these days! I praise God and thank my mother for raising me with the teaching of 'doing my best.'
She was not a Believer in Christ during my youth, but she did allow my Great Aunt Oretha to buy clothes for us to take us to church with her. I believe that my early positive experiences in Church Sunday School helped me to encounter my Creator and trust Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour! I believe that like my mom, I have a calm and personable demeanor.
Mom, Bessie Anna Carpenter was born June 4, 1940, eldest daughter to Sarah Pope. She faithfully attended Bible Study as a daughter of Christ Jesus. After experiencing much pain and suffering, she left this earthly life Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the age of 69. Now she is experiencing God's promise of Eternal Life! Praise God!!
